A requirements traceability matrix meaning (RTM) is a document that usually documents all requirements, test results, and issues. It demonstrates the relationship between these artifacts, often that a test was created for each requirement. RTMs can also be used as management checks to ensure that testing plans/matrices are complete and approved by the appropriate parties.
